High Dynamic Range Images
HDR imaging is an exciting technique for merging exposure-bracketed sequences of digital photographs. Although most commonly used for the artistic effects that can be achieved with tone mapping operators, the fact that each pixel can accurately represent the object luminance allows for their use as high-resolution luminance meters.
To learn more about HDR, please visit the WebHDR web site by clicking the WebHDR button in the navigation panel on the left.
HDR images can be created with most digital cameras. WebHDR provides the background information to get you started. It also allows you to create HDR images by simply uploading an exposure-bracketed image sequence to our server.
